Belize Tax Treaties

F. Belize Tax Treaty List with Other Countries

Belize Tax Treaties exist for a number of countries to elliminate potentially harmful double taxation situations.  Belize has double taxation agreements with the following countries:

  • CARICOM,
  • Antigua & Baruda,
  • Barbados,
  • Dominica,
  • Grenada,
  • Guyana,
  • St Christopher & Nevis,
  • Jamaica,
  • St Lucia,
  • St Vincent,
  • The Grenadines,
  • Trinidad,
  • Tobago,
  • Switzerland,
  • UK/Belize Double Tax Treaty. UK/Belize Double Taxation Arrangement, 19 December 1947, amended by Supplementary Arrangements made on 8 April 1968 and 12 December 1973.

*A DTA between Denmark, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom had been extended to Belize in 1954. A DTA between Norway, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom had been extended to Belize in 1955. (This may not be effective any longer) A DTA between Sweden, Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom had been extended to Belize in 1973.
